Who are the Big Sisters and Big Brothers?

Big Sisters and Big Brothers are adult volunteers 18 years of age and over who are able to commit 2-4 hours a week for at least one year to a Little Sister or Little Brother.

The big can help create a balance in the little’s identity; the child’s self-confidence and self-image improves because the regular contact with a big proves to him/her that someone other than his/her parent or guardian cares about him/her. An improvement in school behaviour and achievement may occur as a result of increased self-esteem.

Please note that at this time, we are no longer accepting new application from Bigs or Littles for our Big Sister/Couples/Buddy Up match program. Please check back to our website periodically for updates on volunteer enrollment.

How do I get myself or my children involved?
