Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa (BBBSO) is thrilled to be one of the participating charities for the 2013 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend.

We are looking for runners or walker to Run for Mentoring in the 2013 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend on May 25 and 26 in the marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5km or 2km races.

You can Start Something today and help us reach our $8 000 goal to support mentoring programs in our community.

Register as a runner/walker and raise funds for BBBSO.

• We are looking to recruit 30 runners or walkers to help us meet our fundraising goal.
• All runners and walkers must commit to raising $250.
• All runners and walkers who meet their fundraising goal will receive a specially-designed Run for Mentoring t-shirt in appreciation for their fundraising efforts.
• All runners and walkers who raise $500.00 or more will have their registration fee reimbursed by BBBSO after Race Weekend.

Register as a volunteer for the Water Station.

Water station volunteers are an important part of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend as hydration is very important for all runners. As a water station volutneer you will help with set-up, handing out water/gatorade and clean up/take down.

• BBBSO is looking to recruit 60 volunteers.
• Generally the shift is from very early in the morning and ends shortly after lunch.
• This is a great opportunity to volunteer as a group with your family, friends or co-workers!
• Volunteers must be 15+ years to volunteer without a supervising adult.
