Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, that is built on trust and common interests. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee. This type of volunteering usually requires 2-4 regularly scheduled outings a month of several hours each and a minimum of 1 year commitment.

The In-School Mentoring program provides girls and boys with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with, within school grounds. Mentors meet with their mentee for 1 hour (school year only) and engage in activities such as board games, crafts or just hang out in the playground.

Game ON! and Go Girls! are gender specific group mentoring programs for boys and girls aged 11-14 that focus on physical activity, balanced eating and self-esteem building. This program requires the volunteer to commit 2 hours a week for 7 consecutive weeks.
Currently only offered in Ottawa, the Conversation Club gives newcomer youth the opportunity to take part in a unique mentoring program. Mentors (aged 16-24) are asked to volunteer 1.5 hours a week during the school year and mentor youth aged 12-18. The mentors help build a sense of belonging among the youth and promote cross-cultural understanding and respect.
