In order to volunteer with BBBSO, you require a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check (PRC). We recommend completing your Vulnerable Sector Check online to help reduce processing and wait times. More information and the online application can be found here.
If you are unable to complete the online application, please print the following Police Record Check letter and form and bring them with you to 2670 Queensview Drive to have your PRC processed. The letter below will waive the service fee for your PRC.
Please check the Ottawa Police Service website for updated Police Record Check processing times.
If you have lived in Ottawa for five years, you are able to have your police check processed immediately by paying a $39.00 fee.
Please Note: When completing an online application, you have the option of receiving a hard copy or a PDF from the Ottawa Police Service. If receiving a hard copy, we are required to see the original; if receiving a PDF, please forward the original email to Cindy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
