Big Possibilities

Big Possibilities is a program for youth focused on career readiness and exploration. This program gives youth the opportunity to attend workshops and explore a variety of careers and fields that they may not be typically exposed to. In these workshops, youth aged 14-24 learn from and network with professionals from local companies and organizations either in-person or virtually. Participants also receive volunteer hours!

Big Possibilities’ mission is to provide participating youth with life skills and experiences that allow them to explore, be inquisitive, and feel successful about life after high school. Past workshops have focused on resume writing, preparing for interviews, and working in the fast-paced environment of retail.

Katimavik and HAYS have participated in our inaugural events, and we’re always looking for new types of businesses and industries to showcase to our youth.

If you are a youth aged 14-24 interested in participating, a youth-serving organization with youth eligible to participate, or a business/professional interested in hosting a Big Possibilities workshop, please contact Brianna Dusome at brianna.dusome@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca for more details.
