Camila Suvaric heads Pythian’s People and Culture team, aiming to foster a workplace where employees feel valued, heard, and empowered to reach their career goals. With over 15 years of experience in various HR fields, she currently holds the role of Vice President, People and Culture at Pythian. Camila holds a Bachelor’s of International Business from Carleton University; she is a Certified Human Resources Professional and a Certified Change Practitioner.
As part of her role, Camila leads diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She created and launched Pythian’s first DEI Strategy and program in 2022; whereas program head, she champions an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. Camila is a #IamRemarkable facilitator, which is an initiative that challenges gender modesty norms by supporting women and other underrepresented groups in becoming more comfortable celebrating their achievements in and outside of the workplace.
Having grown up in Ottawa and as a mother of three, Camila is passionate about giving back to the Ottawa community, particularly to youth. Understanding the impact of mentorship, resulting in Camila’s implementing a refreshed mentorship program for women at Pythian, made the board opportunity with BBBSO particularly compelling, as it leverages Camila’s passion for DEI, giving back, and her deep belief in the importance of mentorship.
Camila is a new Board Member in her first term.
